Foundations of Wig Making

This one-on-one workshop introduces the fundamentals of wig construction. Designed for beginners or stylists looking to expand their skills, you’ll learn how to properly construct a wig from start to finish using professional techniques.

During the session we will cover:

• Understanding wig caps and foundations

• Measuring and preparing the wig block

• Ventilating or sewing bundles onto a cap

• Securing and shaping the wig structure

• Basic finishing techniques for durability and comfort

By the end of the session, participants will leave with a strong understanding of wig construction and the confidence to begin creating their own pieces.

Materials Included:

• Wig cap

• Mannequin head use during session

• Thread & curved needles

• Wig clips or elastic band

• Basic construction kit

• Practice hair/bundles for construction
